What is Mindful Art Connections about?

Mindful Art Connections was born from the wish to create spaces for genuine encounter - places where people, especially those living away from their home country and seeking belonging and connection, can come closer to themselves and to others through art and mindful awareness.

The project is led by Tayama Ramos da Silva Nielsen, a Brazilian artist and Heilpraktikerin für Psychotherapie (licensed non-medical psychotherapist) who has lived in Germany for 25 years. Her path weaves together an academic background in visual arts with a deep practice in mindfulness and psychotherapy. This combination shapes an approach that integrates art, presence, and expression, awakening curiosity, sensitivity, and reconnection with what is essential.

Where they take place:

The Mindful Art Connections workshops take place in various inspiring locations, carefully selected for their open and creative atmosphere. These include the Werksviertel near Munich’s Ostbahnhof and the

Galerie Kunstwerkstatt in Karlsfeld. For companies and institutions, workshops can also be held on-site, provided there is a suitable space for the activities.

In German, English, or Portuguese

MAC sessions can take place in German, English, or Portuguese, depending on the group and context. There are also groups for people who wish to practice German in a natural and relaxed way, outside the classroom and free from performance pressure. Here, bridges are built between people, beyond language.
